Casey Starks Studio presents a Make a Mug Workshop on Sunday, March 9, 10am-12:30pm. Fee is $150. Register online.

In this workshop you'll learn how to make a mug using the slab-building technique. Emphasis will be placed on making a functional mug that feels nice in your hand and feels good to drink from. This class is perfect for beginners - no experience necessary.

Casey Starks Studio has new heart-themed ceramics. You'll find Casey's handmade heart earrings, necklaces, cups, trinket dishes, and vases perfect for Valentine's Day (or any day!) in addition to her classic designs.

Visit 550 Lighthouse Avenue, Suite A, or shop online . The studio is open Thu-Fri, 2pm-6pm, and Sat, 12pm-5pm.

Play Full Ground: Alternative Education for High School Students

For years artist, educator, and Play Full Ground owner Mai Ryuno has dreamed of opening an innovative school. Now her dream is coming true. In Fall 2025, Play Full Ground, located at 550 Lighthouse Avenue, will transform into a micro high school , offering creative, alternative education for students in grades 9-12.

Mai is currently developing a school curriculum that combines art and design with academics to create a unique, engaging learning experience .

Mai invites feedback and insight from families, particularly those whose children are experiencing challenges in conventional high school. Please schedule an appointment to talk with her.

Youth Arts Collective

Speak Not So Easy , a new project by artist and educator Mai Ryuno of Play Full Ground , offers youth (age 14 to early 20s) the opportunity to learn/experience the power of art practice outside of the studio, gain a better understanding of themselves and the world around them, and take action in their neighborhood.

Youth are invited to attend the first orientation session on Friday, October 6, 4:30pm-6pm at Youth Arts Collective.
