The Monterey Hostel, located in Monterey's Lighthouse District, is pleased to host a free potluck and travel program entitled Burma, Nonviolent Challenge for Change, featuring guest speakers Vic and Barby Ulmer.
Yes, Burma is changing! Vic and Barby Ulmer, who led a Reality Tour of the country in January 2012 through the teachers' educational resource organization they founded, Our Developing World, will discuss some of the positive changes there as well as ongoing problems facing the Burmese. They will also share a short video they made of their tour of Burma.
The optional potluck will begin at 6pm, the discussion will begin at 6:45pm. (Help setting up at 5:30pm is appreciated.) Everyone is welcome!
