2nd Annual November Skulls Art Show at Headdress

This event has already passed

Headdress Salon presents our second annual Day of the Dead inspired art show, November Skulls, featuring work by Heather Jorgensen (a.k.a. Lili Jorge) and Sean Seebach-Bustamante, on Saturday, November 2, 7pm-9pm. Come celebrate life, art, and community!

Heather Jorgensen, the artist behind Lili Jorge, creates multi-media shadow boxes made with recycled material and inspired by Mexican folk art.

Heather began making Day of the Dead inspired sugar skull shadow boxes in early 2015 as a way to creatively express her admiration for the Latin American celebration Dia de Los Muertos. She uses old cigar boxes and recycled material to create a compilation that expresses the delicate balance between life and death. Sizes, themes, and materials vary and each piece is unique.

Sean Seebach-Bustamante is a visual artist based in Monterey County. In his spare time he is constantly drawing, with the goal of improving his craft and creating visually appealing pieces. He started taking his craft seriously in the middle of 2018 and after only a year he has many works that he is excited to display. Most of the works on display were created with the “Day of the Dead” theme in mind.
