Travel Show & Potluck: Copper Canyon & Mexico

The Monterey Hostel, located in Monterey's Lighthouse District, is pleased to host a free potluck and travel program entitled Motorcycling Through Copper Canyon & Mexico, given by Jeff "Smitty" Smith.

Smitty's presentation will include pictures and videos of his motorcycle adventure through Copper Canyon and remote areas of Mexico. Copper Canyon (Barranca del Cobre) is a system of canyons located in the Sierra Madre mountains of southwest Chihuahua, Mexico. Covering some 28,000 sq. miles of gorges and ravines, Copper Canyon is the largest canyon in North America.

Also included tonight will be videos and pictures of Mazatlan, Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas, Real de Catorce, and the famous road called "The Devil’s Backbone" (El Espinazo del Diablo).

The optional potluck will begin at 6pm, the presentation will begin at 6:45pm. (Help setting up at 5:30pm is appreciated.) Everyone is welcome!
