The New Monterey Business Association would like to remind Lighthouse District retail stores that Monterey City Council has banned the distribution of single-use plastic bags and will require a 10-cent charge per paper bag beginning July 1, 2012. Please note: the City ordinance will affect retail shops but NOT restaurants.
