Belt Making Class at The Leather Company

The Leather Company presents a Belt Making Class on Friday, February 15 at 6pm. We have over 30 years of experience creating leather belts - come and learn from a professional! Fee is $125 per student; all materials and tools provided. Register online or at the shop. Class is limited to 6 students, ages 12 and up.
Student will make a perfectly sized belt either 1.25" or 1.5". Includes a heavy duty solid brass or nickel buckle, either casual or dress style. You'll learn how to gauge leather and decide a good cutting area of the leather to cut a belt, and will cut and size your own belt directly from a full cow hide. You'll also learn basic tooling and decorative stamping techniques, how to set snaps or rivets, punch holes, the edge treatment process, and color finishing techniques.
