Bon Ton L'Roy's Lighthouse Smokehouse invites you to join us for an all-ages Halloween costume party on Saturday, October 29 at 7pm featuring some of the best bands in Monterey! Come on down and listen to American Trash Bird, Valley Soul, and Cowboy Starr. Cover charge is $5.
American Trashbird can often be heard singing in beautiful harmony, collecting rustic rhythms for their nest of trash and class. Pure and understated; somewhere between the quaint seaside villas and the middle American ghost town dive bars. Recycling forgotten refuse from the bins of blues rock, the richness of roots music, and some liberties with Latin beats, they have forged a cry of their own.
Valley Soul's entrancing four-part harmonies and intrepid instrumentals are reminiscent of the Grateful Dead and Fleetwood Mac and call forth modern likeness to Arcade Fire and Of Monsters And Men. Nestled boldly amidst new age indie rock, old school folk, blues, and classic rock, the sextet reinvents and combines expansive avenues of sound.
Cowboy Starr, consisting of Monterey's own Christopher Brian Van Heerdt and a varying cast of musicians, performs alternative American indie rock.
