Lilify cordially invites you to join us on Saturday, October 29, 12pm-4pm, as we present the work of jewelry designers Claire Green and Rachel Jones along with a tasting of confections by Lauren Palminteri of Bread and Butter Caramels.
Claire Green is a jewelry designer and maker based in Portland, Oregon who’s been creating with metal for over 10 years. After receiving an MFA in metals from the School for American Crafts at RIT, Claire worked as a goldsmith for two years before launching her own line in 2012. Particularly drawn to the methods of manipulating metal from its flat, solid state into voluminous forms and textural shapes, Claire uses techniques such as forging, etching, lost wax casting, and hand fabrication to create her unique pieces.
Monterey-based jewelry designer Rachel Jones designs and creates all pieces by hand in her studio. Rachel uses natural gemstones paired with sterling silver, 14k gold-filled, and raw brass metals. Specializing in sleek bohemian designs with a sophisticated edge, she likes to work with raw crystals, druzy agate pieces, and other specially selected raw minerals and gemstones.
