Paper Wing Theatre: "Salome"
This event has already passed
Paper Wing Theatre Company presents Oscar Wilde's Salome, directed by Jourdain Barton. Performances are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, August 8-30 at our Lighthouse District theatre.
This one act play tells the biblical story of Salome, stepdaughter of the tetrarch Herod Antipas, who, to her stepfather's dismay but to the delight of her mother Herodias, requests the head of Jokanaan (John the Baptist) on a silver platter as a reward for performing the dance of the seven veils. Many view Wilde's Salome as a superb combination of dramatic influences, with its use of color, sound, dance, visual description, and visual effect.
Tickets are $22, general admission; $20, students, seniors, and military. To purchase tickets online, please click here; to order tickets by phone, please call 831-905-5684.
