Cat's Meow Artist Reception: Melissa Barrett

Cat's Meow is proud to present Conscious Canvas, an exhibition featuring the work of local artist Melissa Barrett. Everyone is invited to join us for the opening reception on Saturday, November 9, 6pm-10pm! The art exhibition will continue at Cat's Meow through December 8, 2013.
The opening reception will feature live performances by talented local musicians Valley Soul, RJ Tripps, Skarthur, and Cosmic Quest. We'll also be serving delectable hor d'oeuvres provided by some of Monterey's finest eateries including Tille Gorts, Cafe Trieste, The Wild Plum Cafe, Yafa, and Mint & Melon. Tastings of locally brewed Fatso IPA and Brandon Keck's old style IPA will be available.
Melissa Barrett's Conscious Canvas Exhibition utilizes combinations of various mediums, from acrylic and oil paint to non-traditional art materials, in order to create intriguing compositions with three dimensionality. Barrett often creates art intended to stimulate thought on provocative subject matter, most notably humanity's impact upon the environment.
